Adding an image to a project

  • Only users with ‘Owner’ or ‘Builder’ or ‘Contributor’ status are able to add an image to a project.
  • All fields marked with an *  on this page are mandatory.
  1. Ensure you are logged in to Civil Space.

  2. Navigate to your project page and select the project you want to edit.

  3. To add an image, click on the ‘Choose an image’ button under the ‘Hero Image’ heading. This will be the main image for your project.
  4. Select an image from the window that opens. 

  5. Enter a brief description of the image that you used in the ‘Alt Text’ field.
    Note: This is to ensure accessibility for all users and that if the image does not appear for any reason the viewer will still be aware of what content was there.

  6. To add a supporting image, scroll down the page until you see the ‘Supporting Image’ heading and click on the ‘Choose an image’ button located below it. 

  7. Select an image from the window that opens.

  8. Enter a brief description of the image that you used in the ‘Alt text’ field. 

  9. To give your image a caption, enter it in the ‘Caption’ field. 

  10. If you are navigating away from the page, remember to click the ‘Save’ button located at the bottom of the page.
    A message will appear at the top of the screen that says ‘Updated Successfully’. 
    If you are staying on the project page to add or edit more content, remember to save your work when you have finished before you leave the page.
